How to get to Visp

Visp is situated in the Upper Valais, on the banks of the river Rhone and at the foot of the highest vineyard in Europe.

By car
You can get to Visp easily at any time by car.

From Canton Tessin:
In summer drive over the Furka (Nufenen?) Pass, then continue in the direction of Sion until you reach Visp.   
In winter take the Furka car train to Oberwald, then drive in the direction of Sion until you reach Visp.

From eastern and central Switzerland:
Zurich-Bern-Lötschberg car train, then drive in the direction of Brig and until you reach Visp.

From western Switzerland:
Vevey-Martigny-Sion, then drive in the direction of Brig until you reach Visp.

From France:
Chamonix-Martigny-Sion, then drive in the direction of Brig until you reach Visp.

From Italy:
From Milan drive over the Simplon Pass, then continue in the direction of Sion until you reach Visp.

From Germany:
Via Frankfurt-Basel-Bern-Lötschberg car train, then drive in the direction of Brig until you reach Visp.
Via Munich/Konstanz-Zurich-Bern-Lötschberg car train, then drive in the direction of Brig until you reach Visp.

 

By train

From northern Switzerland:
An easy journey via the NEAT tunnel to Visp.

From western Switzerland:
Lausanne-Martigny-Sion-Visp

From eastern and central Switzerland:
Zurich-Bern-Visp

From France:
Chamonix-Martigny, change trains, Martigny-Visp


From Italy:

Milan-Domodossola-Brig, change trains if necessary, Brig-Visp

From Germany:
Frankfurt-Basel-Bern-Visp
